[My husband] and I would like to thank you for the wonderful Grandparents Day.  Our kids had a ball, and I know all the kids that came enjoyed it.  It took a lot of time, money, and staff to make it a success.

I would like to take a moment to tell you about the exemplary service and kindness I have received from Jarrett Houser, Executive Director, at Arbor Village.

From the moment I toured Arbor Village on behalf of my elderly aunt, Jarrett has been extremely easy to work with, patient, understanding, kind, and giving.

It seems no matter what I throw at him, or what issues may come up, he always has the perfect solution. When I am worried about something, he eases my mind. When I am having issues with my aunt, he steps in, knowing exactly how to make it all better. When I need advice, he has the answers. Jarrett knows how to take command of a situation, but he does it with love and compassion; a very rare quality indeed.

Jarrett is always so very approachable, never once making me feel like a bother during his very busy day. He always takes time to talk, no matter how trivial the matter may be. I sincerely appreciate him listening to me. In my job as a flight attendant, I have found that just listening can solve 90% of the issues that may concern my passengers. People just want to be heard and understood, and know that you are taking the time to pay attention to them. Jarrett fully understands the importance of listening and paying attention.

I watch Jarrett interact with residents with such ease, caring and compassion. He is very thoughtful and intuitive. These are qualities I noticed the first day I toured Arbor Village. Even more telling is the fact that Jarrett didn’t know I was watching him, he didn’t even know who I was at the time. It was seeing Jarrett in action that swayed me to choose Arbor Village for my aunt.

I placed the ultimate trust in Jarrett and Arbor Village to do the right thing for my aunt, and I’ve not had a single regret or second thought since. He is truly an asset to your company.

Kudos to all the staff at The Lodge for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with the residents and their families. I appreciate all the extra effort that was made to make everyone feel special. The food was great, and I’m looking at the size of the portions as an attempt to stretch out my stomach in preparation for Thanksgiving on Thursday. I still can’t believe my Mom was able to finish everything on her plate. (Not too sure where she puts it all.) The serving staff was lovely with all their attire and kind nature.

Please pass along a ‘job well done’ to everyone involved. I look forward to future events, as I’m sure many of the residents do also. It was great having an opportunity to talk with the other families and make connections. (Turns out that Virgil’s son was a good friend of one of my brother-in-laws and helped coach his sons.)

Dear Nicolette and The Inn at Arbor Village Staff,

I want to thank you on behalf of my mom and sisters for our opportunity to spend these last two weeks with my Dad. I am sure that it helped Dad adjust to Mom’s absense and it gave Mom some peace of mind about leaving Dad “alone.”

It was great to observe first-hand many of the activities available here at The Inn. We enjoyed the openness of the staff and all the residents to our participation in their lives for a couple of weeks. Who would have guessed that I would enjoy Tai Chi or Stretching classes or use equipment with my Dad?

Thanks again for coordinating the concert yesterday. I think the residents enjoyed it. We had a full house. Every seat was filled with residents, family and friends.

Please pass along my appreciation to all the staff at Arbor Village. They are all so helpful, pleasant and attentive to our needs and of course those of the residents. It’s one of the best staffs that I have seen in my almost 20 years of putting on these concerts at senior residences throughout the Northwest. You personally do a great job of promoting and motivating everyone to help us put on the show!!

This past Monday my mom and I placed my dad in your memory care facility. Such life changes are never easy – and it broke both my mom and dad’s hearts to know that they will probably never live together again after spending the last 61 years together.

I would like to let you know, however, how incredible your people are. Both Jennifer Riggins and Andrea Anderson spent so much time with my mom and I as we were coming to this decision. We actually researched several facilities and yours had, hands down, the most empathetic, caring and knowledgeable people. We actually just stopped in for the first time and although I know Jennifer had a full day, she never made us feel hurried or asked us to schedule an appointment – she dropped everything and showed us around, answering all our questions.

It turns out that I know your new concierge, Stacy Dunn, and couldn’t be happier that she will be a part of the crew watching out for my dad. What a caring person she is. Always there with a smile and hug in this emotional time for us.

Of course, Naomi, Wade and all the others are wonderful, too. We couldn’t ask for a better team to watch over our precious husband and dad. Thank you for having such high standards in your employment!

Again, I hope you are so proud of your staff at the Lodge – they have taken the worry and stress out of a heart wrenching time for us and we appreciate you all,
